Mangahigh - Maths Week October 2015
Urbleshanny NS took part in the online Mangahigh Challenge as part of Maths Week 2015. There were 223,147 pupils from all over Ireland participating in various mathematical events and competitions. Our favourite is the Mangahigh competition and great results were achieved here.
Urbleshanny NS came in 2nd place in Ireland with 24,702 points as many pupils tirelessly attempted challenges throughout the week.
What a remarkable achievement.
Well done to all the children who worked feverishly each day and evening to increase our points. The challenge ended on the 18th of October, at 11.59pm.
Three pupils, Ciarán McAree 6th, Oisín Murray 6th and Eimear McAree 4th were in the top ten individual competitiors in Ireland placed 1st,2nd and 10th respectively.
Mrs Little's 6th Class won a pizza party for the best performing class.
A total of 82 pupils scored over 100 points and received a medal each from Mangahigh on Friday, 6th of November.
Zachary O'Sullivan 6th was the fastest pupil in Ireland to reach 100 points.
