First Holy Communion 2026
The sun shone on our Second Class pupils as they gathered in St. Mary's Church for 11.30am on May 9th, 2026. The pupils and their families congregated outside the church ahead of the ceremony which was celebrated by Fr. Early.
Fr. Early used his homily to reiterate the importance of the link between the home, the school and the church. Referencing the opening hymn, The Circle Song, he welcomed families to join the parish community for the celebration of Sunday mass each week.
Each pupil in Rang a Dó took part in today's ceremony. Well done to the dancers, singers and readers. Thank you to Mrs. Mc Nulty, Mrs. Sherry and Jackie for preparing the boys and girls so well for their special day.
Many thanks to the staff and pupils who gave up their Saturday morning to assist with the celebration - An tUasal Mc Giolla Bhríde, Ms. Mc Clave, Ms Donohoe, Mrs. Little, Mrs. Milne, Mrs. Trappe and the wonderful singers in the choir.
