A Special Visitor
On Wednesday, November 26th, pupils were treated to a surprise visit from a special guest of honour. Pupils gathered on the playground after second break and eagerly awaited the surprise visitor.
George, the pet heifer calf is being auctioned to raise funds for Crocus Monaghan and the Irish Cancer Society on Friday night 28th October at Ballybay Mart at 7.30pm.
The Charolais heifer has been very generously donated by our pupils Peter and Nadine, and their big sister Shannon, a former student of the school. Mrs. Smyth welcomed the special guest and Shannon spoke about George's upbringing to date.
We were also joined by members of the organising committee, Bernie Sherry, Mrs. Meehan, Roisin Mc Kenna and Yvonne Keenan.
