Webwise Winners!
For Safer Internet Day 2018, Webwise Ireland held their first ever #BeInCtrl Big Picture Competition event. Webwise is the Irish Internet Safety Awareness Centre which is co-funded by the Department of Education & Skills and co-financed by the European Union. Webwise Ireland is part of the PDST Technology in Education, which promotes and supports the integration of ICT in teaching and learning in primary and post-primary schools. Their website offers advice to both teachers and parents.
Ms Stirrat's 5th Class had been discussing internet safety and the importance of being a digital citizen and having a positive digital footprint. They created a wonderful poster as a result. To their delight, Webwise selected their poster in their competition as runners-up. The prize is a camera drone which we are looking forward to using.
