Visit to Combilift March 2018

During Engineers Week,  Ms Donohoe's class were scheduled to visit Combilift's new facililty in Monaghan but Storm Emma put paid to that. Instead the class got to visit Combilift on Thursday, the 8th of March. Combilift is the largest global manufacturer of forklifts and employs more than 450 people. Recently the company have built a new purpose-built facility spanning 46,500m². The company workforce look after the design, development, fabrication, assembly and final dispatch of its machines to destinations as far afield as the Arctic Circle, Tasmania, Africa and South America. Ms Donohoe's class were brought on tour of the new facility by Combilift employees, Ryan Treanor and Kevin Markey. The group had a wonderful time seeing the various sections of the new Combilift facility which is amazing. They were very impressed with the operations there. The tour was fascinating and enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Combilift for facilitating  Ms Donohoe's class.
