Prayer Service for the 8th of December Feast Day
6th class held a prayer service on Friday, the 7th, for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception which occured on the 8th of December. Many people believe that the feast celebrates Jesus’ conception, but in fact it celebrates Mary’s Immaculate Conception; the fact that Mary was, from the very first
moment of her existence (her conception), without sin, and chosen to be the Mother of Jesus. Fr Early was in attendance with the staff and all pupils and all were encouraged to join in singing the modern Magnificat led by 6th class.
