Make Your Céilí in 2017

Scotstown GFC have designated the week from Sunday 29th October to Sunday 5th November as 'Cairde Week'. The idea behind this initiative is to take sometime out of your day and spend it with someone you haven't seen in a while. Go visit that someone who's on your mind, someone who's on their own, a neighbour, new mother, new neighbour or old friend. Health and Wellbeing officer with Scotstown GFC Bernie Sherry states that it's all about people reconnecting again. Michael Owen McMahon, County Chairman, welcomed the drive and energy that would bring back the spirit of rural Ireland. All ages are encouraged to get involved in the parish and let's hope the traditional visiting or 'making your céilí' becomes a permanent thing. Check on the images for some thoughts our pupils have had on this initiative.
