Green Schools Annual Spring Cleanup 2018
Thursday, the 12th of April, was indeed a busy day in Urbleshanny NS with teams participating in both Gaelic and soccer 5-a-sides. Another industrious group took part in the annual Spring cleanup in both Scotstown and Ballinode villages along with members of the Tidy Towns Committees. Cathy Bennett, Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council, visited the school to congratulate the pupils on their ongoing endeavour to keep their villages clean and free from litter. Many thanks to Jimmy Connolly and Sean Morgan of Scotstown Tidy Towns Committee and Alice Daly from Ballinode Tidy Towns Committee for their continued support and encouragement to our pupils. Thanks also to the parents and teachers who accompained and supervised the pupils during their undertaking of keeping our parish as it should be.
