Grandparents Day 2020
Each year during Catholic Schools Week Grandparents Day is designated as the day when the school community celebrates the contribution of grandparents. Grandparents do so much to help raise and nurture their grandchildren. They can play a massive part in helping to pass on the Christian faith to the next generation. They deserve our respect and gratitude for all that they do.
Our pupils gave thanks today for the gift of grandparents, for all that they do for their grandchildren and with their grandchildren, for the love that's shared with them and the joy they bring to their lives.
The 6th class teachers, during the past few weeks of preparation, felt that they got to know the grandparents of their pupils as they'd heard such wonderful stories about them. Many stories filled with love, joy, care and wisdom. Today's prayer service was giving thanks for their presence and for the richness they add to the lives of their grandchildren.
