Division 1 Football League October 2018
The Division 1 Football League began in earnest in September 2018 for the return of the Frank McGinn Cup to Urbleshanny NS. The school team played 5 games where the beat Corracrin NS, St Mary's BNS, Monaghan and St Joseph's, Carrickmacross. They lost to Gaelscoil Ultain and today in the semi final to Castleblayney BNS. The team worked hard and played their very best throughout the league. Mrs Smyth would like to thank Aidan Connolly and David McCague for their help and support with the boys' team. She would also like to acknowledge the co-operation of Caroline Prunty and Brenda McCarey for washing the school's football jerseys.
