Cumann na mBunscol Girls Final
The Cumann na mBunscol Girls Final took place this afternoon, Thursday, 31st of May, in Castleblayney Faughs grounds. Our Senior Girls team played in the league against SN Scoil na gCailíní Castleblayney, Gaelscoil Ultain Monaghan, St Louis GNS Monaghan and today faced Bunscoil Lughaidh Naofa Carrickmacross in the final for the Seamus McCluskey Cup. Staff and parents turned out to support the girls who gave a great performance against a very strong, skilful Carrickmacross team. We're very proud of our girls who played to the very end. There was disappointment when the final whistle blew yet the girls smiled through the tears and gave a thumbs up as they had tried their very best. Remember, girls, 'tis better to have tried and lost than never to have tried at all. The future looks bright for Ladies Gaelic Football in Co Monaghan.
