CRAFTed Project 2019

Recently Mary Murphy, a member of the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland, visited Mrs Donohoe's class on several occasions as she delivered workshops on inking and printing. Mary is involved in the CRAFTed initiative which offers an exciting opportunity to primary school children and teachers to learn new skills by working with professional craftspeople. Mary is a jewellery designer and goldsmith and has used her etching techniques and skills and developed lesson plans for workshops called Inking and Printing with an Etched Tin Plate and Traditional Printing Press. This wonderful STEM programme taught the pupils many skills and knowledge through the medium of printing.
