Active School Week June 2017
Active School Week takes place in Urbleshanny NS from Monday 12th to Friday 16th of June. The Department of Education and Skills and Healthy Ireland encourage all schools to organise an Active School Week (ASW) as part of their annual school calendar. The ASW Initiative is about providing fun and inclusive physical activity opportunities for all members of the school community. Pupils are encouraged to walk from the village or cycle to school this week. All classes are participating in 10@10 each morning. On Monday 12th June everybody took part in a Skipathon. Tuesday 13th of June saw classes take part in tennis instruction, penalty shoot outs and Junior Infants walked to the village.
