Active Flag Raising
The school community gathered on a glorious Tuesday morning for a celebratory céilí and flag raising ceremony to mark the receipt of our latest Active Flag.
The morning began with an energetic and spirited céilí for all pupils, ably led by our guest of honour Gerard Mc Quaid. Gerard has been visiting the school for many years now to provide dance lessons to pupils, and so, was a fitting choice to raise our latest Active Flag.
Mrs Lally welcomed pupils, staff, the Active School Committee and Gerard to the flag raising ceremony. Pupils recited the Active School slogan and recalled all of their efforts and activities throughout the year. Finally, Gerard raised the flag to rapturous applause. Well done to all involved!
